The Treasure Island Recreation Department’s annual children’s Halloween Spooktacular and Fall Festival is Friday, October 24, 2014 from 6pm to 9pm at the Treasure Bay Golf and Tennis facility, 10315 Paradise Boulevard. Activities include costume contest, carnival games, moonwalks, spider mountain, interactive games and entertainers, food and beverage concessions provided by local vendors, and a haunted hayride with spooky cemetery. Judging for the costume contest begins at 6:30pm with the 2 years old and under age group. The haunted hayride and cemetery will open at approximately 7pm or dusk. Info: 547-4575, ext 237.

Ten world-class sand sculptors create amazing sculptures using nothing but sand, water and their imagination. Awards presentation Saturday night. Live music and shows Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Beach food court, shopping arcade, reserved dining in "The Turtle Nest," a three-table cafe created entirely from sand. Fireworks on Saturday night. Since 2009. Free.
HOLIDAY BOAT PARADE

Looking like Las Vegas on the water, boats are decorated in a dazzling display of lights, parading around Paradise Island, Isle of Palms and Capri Isle, ending at John's Pass between Treasure Island and Madeira Beach around 8pm. Free.
